Barren

The weather has been stunning…best I’ve seen in November in years.  It’s always surprising to me that no matter the warmth our trees know fall is winding downDSC03602.  There is snow possible ahead and I’d say the trees are readyDSC03603.  The leaves are all brown and crispy nowDSC03604.  The trees are mostly barren so snow won’t bog them downDSC03605.  There’s some hangers on still but not manyDSC03606.  Our evergreen has new cones on it surprisinglyDSC03607…then again what’s winter to an evergreen?  The irrigation ditch is drained…the field is winter preppedDSC03608.  Now just sit and watch what’s to comeDSC03611.  Now the sun is peeking through some clouds and it’s warmDSC03612.  No matter which way it goes the climate at my desk is stableDSC03613.

  1. I love the evergreens year round. They never give up and go dormant but face the seasons.
Your desk looks cleaner than mine! Enjoy Fall now cause cold is coming real quick.

  2. Hi Joe. It always surprises me how rapidly the leaves fall when they finally let go. A week ago, all the trees here were full of yellow and gold. This week, they're barren. But that means we're that much closer to Christmas!! :)
