Seven Years of Blessing

Our little girl turned seven whole years old on the 31stDSC02215.  She got a huge teddy bear from CosCoDSC02216.  She is such a little bundle of joyDSC02217whom we didn’t expect and who arrived by emergency c-section.  Now she’s a young lady plotting what she might do with the money grandpa got her for her birthdayDSC02219and blows out candles on her cake with exuberanceDSC02220.  Her birthday was spread out over a couple days because we attended a wedding on New Year’s Eve.  The weather has been quite frosty in the morningsDSC02221but somehow it’s clean and fresh for meDSC02222.  The frost crystals are hugeDSC02223!  I’m hoping this road leads to springDSC02224!  My Mom got a gift from us that reflected her travels abroad…many that my family and I have shared with herDSC02225…see?  Gabby wasn’t alone receiving gifts!  The wedding was well done but I am glad Lovely had her skill and equipment to cover it.  Me?  I just liked the beautiful candles at our tableDSC02227…they really captured the moment and created a magical atmosphereDSC02229.  Day two of Gabby’s birthday celebration included a meal at her favorite restaurant with a few friendsDSC02231…looks like a wild bunch don’t you thinkDSC02232?  Love brought some goofy mustaches for them…they seemed to like the ideaDSC02235.  The meal was a family favorite of various types of sushiDSC02236followed by some of Gabby’s rainbow cakeDSC02226.  It was a good couple days!

    1. It was a lot of fun and one of the few places open on New Year's Day. They do grow quickly don't they? I don't know how time can fly by so quickly on things.

    1. Thanks for the b-day wishes my friend, it was a festive time indeed. It's going to be in the mid-forties for us then dip to the teens for awhile when Friday comes along. I'll take any good I can get!

  7. You certainly captured some wonderful memories of Gabby's birthday. It's hard to believe Gabby is seven. Watching her grow up like watching Rhonda's daughter Emma grow up as well. Amazing how wonderful the blogging family can be. Well I am heading south at the end of the week. I have been so busy trying to get all the loose ends and packing done. My brain just doesn't function like it use to. There is a a lot of detail to remember when closing the house completely with no heat. We are getting our big last dump of snow this week so should have about 2 feet by the time we leave to head south. Won't have internet for a few months. May you and your family stay healthy through the winter months and get out and get some of that sun when it shines at your place. Hugs Carrie

    1. I know you've sure had a lot on your plate my friend. There's nothing like moving to throw a wrench into everything in a person's life. Moving is one of the top ten most stressful things a person can do in their life or so I've heard. I'll miss you my friend, may God's grace surround all that you do...hear from you when you get back!
