Mixed Company

Spring often comes to Montana in fits and starts.  This year it’s all about fits…no startsDSC03197.  The trees are mostly as barren as they’ve been all winter but here and there you see buds opening upDSC03198.  It makes strange bedfellows don’t you think?  Last year’s deathDSC03203with this year’s lifeDSC03202.  I long to see some green but it’s hardly anywhere to be found yetDSC03199.  The odd mixes of early spring prevail with these Mallards and Canadian Geese mixing it up at the pond behind our houseDSC03200.  Spring isn’t yet what I want it to be but until it is I offer you a Montana early spring bouquetDSC03201 .

  2. No green here yet either Joe. It has rained all day here so I have hopes to see something green in a few days.

    Great photos!

  3. Waitin patiently (well maybe not so much) for the green. Pretty sloppy here. The only downside of spring coming is how dirty everything looks after the snow melts. Your pictures give me hope.

  5. Joe! Hi! I haven't been around in 3 yrs, but I have just started coming back....only to find that most of the old crew has left, sigh. But I found YOU, and do you know that the last time I was here, you and your family were on your way to yet another country. It's wonderful how you honestly "walk the walk" and you've never looked at it any other way. Always make me feel very good and very happy when I come to your page and it was no different now. Love your photos as always, love the sentiment, even though I think Winter is as beautiful as the rest of the seasons, and LOVE the sneakers! Kick up those heels!
Great to see you again, Joe :D

  6. Uh oh, I posted and it didn't show. Don't know if you're moderating now or not. Well, let's try again:
Heyyyy, Joe! This is JennyD and I haven't been around in over 3 yrs. The last time I was around, you were getting ready to leave with your family for yet another country. I think all of ya'll are great. You walk the walk always and for me, I always smile and feel wonderful when I come to your page --- always did, always will.
This post was very thoughtful as they all are and I know you're looking forward to Spring (you and Beth, lol) but I've always thought there was a lot of beauty in Winter. Not that I'm so crazy about it being so darn cold, but when I look around and the silence is a different silence, it's really quite beautiful.
And by the way, before I forget, I LOVE the sneakers! They are perfect!
I'll be back to see what you're up to for sure. Great to read your page again :D
    Later ~~~~ Blessings sent.
