Beyond the Eggs & Candy

Easter has come and gone.  The egg coloring is finishedDSC02354.  The creative process involved in the egg decorating is all but forgottenDSC02355.  The egg hunting is doneDSC02356.  They have all been found at this pointDSC02357…at least hopefullyDSC02358.  The bright art on the driveway is a testament to a wonderful time the kids hadDSC02359…at least here the flowers still bloomDSC02360.  The star of the day remains beyond the things that have nothing to do with EasterDSC02361.  Christ and the reason for the season remain beyond the day for me.  I’m so thankful to know what it’s all about…this celebration doesn’t pass for us though we no longer are counting the eggsDSC02362.  Now the eggs go in soups or saladsDSC02363.  This seems a rather anticlimactic end for such brightly colored eggsDSC02364which makes me all the more blessed when it’s all said and done because I can still celebrate each day knowing just what Christ did for me.  He’s so much more than just and eggDSC02365.

  4. The eggs and the art are just beautiful. No kids at home anymore to do that fun stuff with.

    1. Yes, having children around does make a difference on the holidays in particular. I figure our times like this are nearing an end because our kids are quickly growing up...best enjoy it while we can.
