Few and Far Between

I’m thinking I definitely should have gone out sooner when we had a little snow to take some pictures.  I was honestly bummed to see snow so early and opted out of it thinking another opportunity would arise instead the snow is gone, the gloom is back and it’s in the thirties which leaves me anything but excited to be outside to see everything droopy and brown.  I didn’t take long out there, I have to admit it.  I quickly took the cue that the ducks gave me and leftFew and Far Between 001.  What’s going on in our house then you ask?  I know this is the burning question in your mind!  Well, we’ve been making some cookiesFew and Far Between 002.  Gabby has been involved so the production line has been rather vigorousFew and Far Between 003.  I have to say after one I felt that I’d had my sugar rush for the yearFew and Far Between 004.  I know this is short but I hope it was sweet…if not take another look…was it sweet enough nowFew and Far Between 005?

  7. I bet those ducks would love some cornbread, and they would be flying towards you instead of away. I am sure they would settle for a handful of corn. I have never fed them but some people do. I can see feeding them in the winter if they stick around. We have quite a few that do.
The cookies look real good and would go great with a cup of hot tea. Oh well I had better go get some shuteye. Back to work in the morning. Have a great week Joe.

    1. I've never tried feeding them but I bet you're exactly right Dianne. I don't have much of a zoom on my little camera either so it might be something to consider. I like cookies like that with a hot drink too. Not a bad weekend but it sure did go by quickly! Bless you my friend.

  9. Those cookies sure would have brighten my day. I had to give up cookie making many years ago. I have no will power and will eat them all in one day. I can't believe you had snow. We were still having summer weather. The rains have finally come keeping it above freezing at night. I am so not ready for snow yet. Lots more work to get done outside. But I am so limited how much physical work I can do in the yard now, it seems like it takes forever to get stuff done. Well hoping the sun is shinning for you. Have a blessed week. Hugs Carrie

    1. A cool down comes with a lot of wind today if the reports are to be believed, we shall see. It can seem to take forever to get things done even on the best of days. I hear a mild winter is in store...I have a hard time believing that but you never know.

The Birds look cold in that photo. We have had some very strange weather this month. From snow to cold to rain to freezing rain to early to beautiful sunshine. Life is a Blessing for certain. Enjoy each day.
