Autumn’s Approach

The weather has been about perfect during the days here.  Going out one fine evening I took a picture of the setting sun and didn’t even notice the heart until later…can you see it?  The leaves are starting to change now.  The pod plants I’ve been watching are all yellow now for the most part…that’s a radical change from just a few days ago.  I’ve been waiting to see what the pods contained…I was hoping for some Autumn flower or something…not the case.  Just look at how puffy the tops of these sees are!  There’s not been the usual wind here so the seeds are mostly in the pods still.  The thistles have been just exploding near the pond now.  Returning home I’m struck by the marching on of the seasons.  The big picture and the close up view work together to show the inevitable end of summer .  I just pray that drought ends and the dry season finds it’s end along with summer.

    1. That heart was something I didn't notice until today. Our fall is all about yellow for the most part...I think most reds are from hard wood trees which aren't around here for the most part.

  3. Yes, I see the heart how special. I love the colours of fall, but not so much the additional hours of darkness.

    Have a blessed weekend.

  4. i am more then ready for the change of season, and of course all the colors that follow...i may need to take a weekend trip just a tab bit further north just to see it from another view...It still isnt as cool during the day here as i would like but it beats the 100 degree heat we had for so long !! Thanks for sharing the pics, love the heart in the tree, its amazing what you see after the fact isnt it.

    1. It amazing what can be found after the fact, this really surprised me! It's very nice for us right now with low humidity and pleasant highs during the day. I'm thinking real cold won't be all that far away but you never know.

    1. The problem with time moving so fast is that it always manages to slow down during the winter season. Have you ever noticed that? For now the weather is nice enough to enjoy though it's only 49 this morning. The days are pleasant in the high seventies or low to mid-eighties...not too bad at the moment. Have a great day my friend.

    1. It's been frost free so far which does make me happy. I don't long for the short & cold days that stretch on for months but that is part of the seasons we have every year, might as well enjoy what we can from each one!
