On Down the Road

We visited several places that I don’t remember ever noticing before….it’s just this time we decided to stop instead of going on by.  This place was so full of things to see but still the common and often not so obvious things grabbed my eye.  Still you can’t just sit forever…there was other things to see.  The falls and river were near where the old road through the pass used to run.  Eventually we continued on down the road and returned to a beautiful sunset at the cabin we were staying in.  There’s not a thing in the world like observing the sun setting behind some mountains!  I admit it…there’s one irresistible call that can pull away from views such as this:  food cooked over an open fire !  One more look at the setting sun before going in for the night.  Only one more set of pictures to go before I close this series.  I hope you’ve enjoyed the ride thus far.

    1. She actually got her full license in the mail yesterday, changing of the seasons...wow. It's been mostly dry and hot here still...most have seemed to stop talking about the heat but it's still pretty strong here with highs in the nineties then the big drop at night...I can feel the instability of fall approaching and it's getting dark sooner. Have a good day my friend.

  8. Joe this trip of yours always makes me want to head up into the places like you explore. What a beautiful day this must have been. Being a homebody right now and trying to get some work done here at home instead of making any camping trips now. So love seeing everything through your eyes.

    1. These are the days we should especially cherish the good my friend. Peace has never been so hard to come by and the dark waters of the times threaten to overwhelm. Thankfully as ever His grace is sufficient. Bless you too my friend.

    1. Thank you Dianne. It was a very good time but over too soon. It was dry up there but not nearly as bad as it is here right now. Peaceful and beautiful...what a nice combination. My daughter was pleased to get that icon of becoming a young adult. Glad to see you around my friend.
