I woke up to an absolutely beautiful day today. The sun is actually brightly shining. Oh the blue sky! I’m so tired of gray right now. Today there was so much that just screamed life…even the shadows from the trees reminded me of early summer days where I woke up to a new summer vacation as a boy. Frogs are very vocal in our local pond. The ditch is frequented by Mallards, Canadian Geese, Red Winged Blackbirds, Western Meadow Larks and Pheasants…it’s a wonderful chorus line out there! This pheasant stretched out to feel the morning sun and see what’s going on…so beautiful. Our backyard felt so alive this morning. The greens and blues of the day thrilled me. Marks of Gabby’s passing made me smile. The day’s new Pansies seemed to smile at meand late spring symmetry made me feel at peace .
The glories of spring usher forth.
ReplyDeleteIt recharges my batteries John.
Delete(My feed thing says Mason but I am far from that, I think that is where my cable company is. I live south of there.) Gray days bring me down especially since I don't get out much but seeing our sun shining bright helps a ton, Love the flowers, I need some of those around here,, everything is GREEN but the trees are lovely in full bloom. Take care. :-)

DeleteOh Joe, I felt every word. That's how I feel when I awaken and look out to see God's total Glory out there all for us. Blue sky, flowers, birds, all that you described. Really brings joy and then, thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteIt can quite literally be a life saver some days. It can be like getting a life giving transfusion and I really am grateful to God for it.
