It Came, I Saw but I Wouldn’t Say It Conquered

Our annual breakfast with Santa came and went.  Santa swept through like a snow flurry but my favorite part was Gabby with the US Marines who were there for Toys for TotsDSC02896…thank you Marines…for all you do!  Christmas came a little early for us in another way.  We’d missed the opportunity to pre-order a Playstation 4 and thought we’d likely have to wait a long time to get one.  There was a 24 hour hold on the ones they did get for those that didn’t pick up what they’d ordered.  I decided to take my daughter and try our luck.  Miracles happen…we got oneDSC02894!  It’s an amazing machine I have to admit…good times!  We sold our XBox 360 and all games to do this…I think it’s worth it!  On other news an arctic front passed throughDSC02897…yep, it snowed and boy did it get cold…a forty degree drop!  It’s supposed to warm up a lot this weekend…we’ll see.  I took some snow picturesDSC02898…there are a few leaves still holding on…how I don’t know.  It’s a winter wonderlandDSC02899.  I like the windswept rocks poking through the snowDSC02900.  I guess we won’t be needing the air conditioning huhDSC02901?  Old Man Winter pulled up a chairDSC02903…care to join him at the table for something cold to drinkDSC02904?

    Good thinking to sell one game system to buy a new one. Miracles DO happen!
    Winter had to arrive sooner or later huh.

      The only way to fly on the game system! Winter is still behaving erratically...never know what we're going to get.

    I love the snow pics Joe but I am sure not looking forward to snow here. We have some in the forecast for tomorrow.

    Its been bitter cold here , too cold to venture out for too long . All the pets are in and warm as can be also. Stay warm .I really love the first pic. Wonderful memory for her.

      Bitter cold...that's just what it is. Forecast is warmer...not sure what to make of that.

      I thought you'd enjoy the snow...time for you to move here! The ps4 seems pretty much unattainable now..you may have to ask Santa!

    Love all the contrast and shapes in the snow. Must be real game people. LOL I never play games except when I got my new laptop last winter and had no internet connection I was playing a few games in the evening that came for trial on the computer. Once back home and interent haven't touched a game again until last night. I downloaded on my ipod a game and was having a hoot jumping ducking and making turns. Of if I didn't have my days so filled I know I could become a gamer and get addicted. I am very competative in that way. Have fun with yours.

      Yes we love our games...the PS4 is a great system thus far! Mostly we've been playing single player campaigns so not much competitiveness is involved fortunately!
