I knew it couldn’t last forever, It’s been very warm and mostly snow free. All that was left was a little snow from Christmas. I was looking at it and thinking we were doing pretty good…maybe I’ll be mowing in February if this keeps up. I saw a winter weather watch come up…then it turned to a warning saying we may get around ten inches of snow and the frigid weather I hate so much. I can feel the approach of this storm already…the sky has that look it gets when a storm approaches as well. The wind has really come up so I figure this thing really is inevitable now. If this thing really plays out I may have a whole different world to share with you in pictures next week. For now we wait and see what is in store. Sometimes I think waiting is what makes us…that’s the time when faith really shines. It’s easy to degrade to worry but if we give to that we miss the strength that can come from difficulty. Looking at some vases we have that I really like made me think about this. We spend so much time wanting to know what’s on the other side…what’s inside the package but like these vases that’s not where the beauty lies. Sometimes we need to appreciate the wrapping…the faith it takes to make the beauty of who we are to come later to appreciate the whole picture. The vase needs the outside to be able to hold whatever you want to put inside itand I think faith makes us what we’re meant to be so God can put His blessings inside us as well.
Hi Joe,
ReplyDeleteGreat message. We also are waiting to see whether or not we get snow, it is turning very cold.
Whatever, may God put His blessings inside us all.
Have a great Son/Sunday. Nita
Greetings my dear Nita, no snow for you either yet huh? I wonder if this thing will pass us by, I guess only time will tell. States east of us are supposed to get it worse so we shall see. Bless you inside and out my friend.
DeleteHow right you are Joe. Kind of like judging a book by it's cover. We are in for one more good day here and then the cold and snow will be back, grrr.
ReplyDeleteHello my friend. I've been kinda philosophical lately...I like when that happens. I hear you on the snow. I know everyone says we really need it...I just wish it would stay up in the mountains ;)
DeleteA very timely message Joe. I hope you don't get all of the snow after all.
ReplyDeleteThe vase is very interesting.
Thanks Beth, those vases were from a friend of ours and they've been around but today they just really caught my eye. No snow just yet but it's not over yet!
DeleteEnjoyed reading your post. Your photos are awesome. So is your message!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad Toodie! I couldn't much take it outside with the cold wind blowing this latest front in but so far the snow has been minimal...maybe we'll sidestep this one. Blessings to you my friend.

Memories attached to things can really make then have a value beyond their appearance. The snow came but I think it's done for now. I don't have to go out in it until tomorrow thankfully. Be blessed my friend.
DeleteI am really really hoping for some snow here in my neck of the woods (KY) soon. It was 70 degrees yesterday. That's just not right!
ReplyDeleteThat really is amazing! I don't know that I've ever seen it that warm in January...if that happened here we'd figure the end was near! LOL!
DeleteI think under stand about your vere time (Not good!)

Thanks so much my dear Michiko, it's always good to hear from you!
DeleteNever thought the snow would be melting so soon Joe... Now I'm wondering if the storm produce more or not?
ReplyDeleteGreat to keep the faith, the vase reminded me of the "earthen vessels" we areto be. Have a good week("-")
Good to hear from you my friend! I'm surprised at the melting too, I truly think our drought is still in full effect, this has been an unusual season. February is often brutal here...we'll see what happens. I agree with you about the earthen vessels! Have a blessed week as well!
