ThAw
Have you ever felt winter's blast would last forever? January and February sometimes seem the coldest and most eternal but even so the days are getting longer and the countdown to spring is ticking away
More snow may indeed fall yet winter will eventually have to let go Like it or not the season is progressing The ice is not eternal any more than anything else in this old world As the grass makes a brief glance at the latest thaw I consider my faith peeking through doubt's facade What side to choose? Doubt's fading reign or Christ the eternal rock We can be little stones triumphantly poking through doubt to stand or fade like the fading season's snow Looking back I see a me I no longer know. I choose to make this a new beginning.

Lovely captures, Joe.
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda. I only wish I could get music to play like before. Right now I can only do it like this😓
DeleteI understand more than you know. The song had me in tears as I am putting one foot in front of the other and trying not to look back but forward in faith.
ReplyDeleteI know you do Toodie. That song always really hits me too. God bless you.
DeleteJoe..our Winters pass though while we are in their grip and only see and feel the chill and bleakness because we are immersed in it..we shall choose to look outward from it and hold to that warmth waiting for us. We have only to reach out. But you know that very well. More than most. God bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon you.
ReplyDeleteThese moments truly aren't eternal. Perception can make them seem like they'll never end but they will. I remain thrilled that you're doing so much better. God bless you too.
DeleteHello Joe!
ReplyDeleteThank you for all your kind comments on my blog and I'm sorry I didn't stop by here earlier.
You combined pictures and words perfectly. ;)
Stay warm!
Evi
I've truly enjoyed your posts! It's a pleasure to visit! Trying to stay warm but it's tough😅
DeleteHi Joe, I am only passing through, and so glad I did. It is comforting to know you are still sharing from this wonderful blog of yours. Love your photos, and your insight, and all you share.
ReplyDeleteThe seasons come and go, and life goes on. The journey is often hard, and dark at times, but as we press on, Trusting in our God, He walks with us, and leads us to greener pastures, still waters, often through Mountains, and Valleys. Yes there are many different things we see, feel, and experience along the way. This life on earth is a gift, and although this life here on earth is temporary, we have confidence that God has a plan for us that is good, and as we trust Him, and keep our eyes on Jesus, He will see us through to new victories, and great Hope that leads us to a great future, and Life Eternal where there will be no more sorrow, sickness, loneliness, or pain. We need to keep fighting the good fight, and keep going forward. One day we will be home, and Heaven it shall be.
Keep sharing Joe. You are such a Blessing to so many. May God shine His Light upon you, and may it continue to reflect outwards to others along your path.
Love In Christ Jesus our Lord, and Savior. Dianne
Thank you so much Dianne. I know you and Steve know what's actually going on. I so treasure your friendship and prayer. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
DeleteIt is wonderfully how God brings His people together. Although we live far apart, we are close at heart. God Bless you Brother. We belong to His Family.:)
DeleteAmen.
DeleteWinter always feels like it's the longest time of year. I miss being outside a lot but I have already noticed the days are getting longer. I do love all the snow we're having right now, but I am also looking forward to spring :)
ReplyDeleteAlways love your pictures and your writing!
Have a wonderful day, Joe!
Beate
It cooled down and snowed then once again warmed up enough for things to melt. That's often the pattern here. Thank you my friend, be blessed.
