I’m doing this a bit early because I’m going to be busy for a few days. Most of you know by now I’m a weapon collector. Most weapons I have are from my travels however lately I found a site that has some items I can order right here in the US that I simply couldn’t resist. Lately a knife called a “karambit” has caught my attention. It well fits the training I’ve had in martial arts but aside from that I think it’s amazing to look at. This order came with a couple free knives. One of them was this nice folding karambit. It’s assisted open and clicks open with the click of a little button. Another in my collection is actually from Pakistan though I didn’t purchase it…it was a gift. It has a Bowie style blade. It’s razor sharp! The next knife came free with my last order. Next are these two knives…the top one is a butterfly knife I bought in the Philippines and below it is one that I received as a gift…very unique to me. Lastly is totally unnecessary but a total steal for $13.00! I simply couldn’t resist. Well, that’s it, I’m cutting this short (ha!). Next week I hope to have some really nice photos. Until then God bless and keep you!
Wow those are awesome and scary looking..neat all the places you have been and the stuff you have collected. Saw bad weather out there...take care.. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Carol Dee, they aren't all sharp but some really are. I like them quite a bit. The wind continues but not as bad as it was. Bless you my friend.
DeleteDo you do any sword sets in martial arts? We learned a spear set once that was fun. My hubby, Steve, knows a few sword sets. Mostly we're more into Judo and Jiu-Jitsu.
ReplyDeleteNo most weapon training I did involved knives and short staff. I did variations of Jeet Kun Do, Tai Chi and Ken Po...the art of overwhelming an opponent...love it...miss being into it like I used to be but some things you never forget.
ReplyDeleteThat is quite a collection of knifes you have Joe. Scary but nice. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Beth. I like taking these out and looking at them once in a while. Most of these are new to the collection.
Deletenice collection of knives Joe.
ReplyDeletemy son always collects knives.. a few of yours look familiar..
hope your keeping warm.. weather hasn't been to bad lately..
but the problem with that is it makes one miss spring even more..
ya know I write a comment here.. then it goes to another page.. then back here.. where I have to put it in all over again.. what is up with that ?
ReplyDeleteanyway..I was saying you have a nice collection of knifes..my son also collects them.. some of yours look familier..
hope your enjoying the weather.. been rather nice
I've no idea what your commenting issue is about. All the time I've been here I've changed nothing. Weapon collecting is a little hobby of mine. Some are unique and from abroad, others not.
DeleteJoe, what an amazing collection you have!
ReplyDeleteThank you kindly Linda!
DeleteOuch! I wouldn't want to piss an owner of these knives off lol
ReplyDeleteYou're safe with me Keith ;)
DeleteWhat a collection. ..
ReplyDeleteAmazing collection Joe.
ReplyDeleteGlad to share it Lisa!
ReplyDeleteAnother thing we have in common. I have many knives as I collect as do you. I love my razor looking ones with the African wood ..it's olive, coral and butter yellow ovals of color radiating out. They are absolutely so cool looking. I have SWAT knives of course, one only switchblade, the standard collectible Case knives and the like. I have some that remind me of your karambit but they are not. They are soooo COOL though.
ReplyDeleteWell you know Carole, great minds think alike!
