Keep Smiling

Things give us two options:  laugh or cry.  This weather has left me with this choice every dayDSC02944.  We got not only more snow but winds causing drifting.  The bright side is it’s warmer…still I can’t be inspired to stay out and take more snow pictures.  Time to take a lesson from the nutcrackerDSC02945.  They smile no matter whatDSC02946.  Sure that smile is possibly a grimace but in a crowd…it’s not at all creepy…or is itDSC02947?  The kids are  excited about it.  We see The Hobbit’s next installment on Friday, the gifts are piling upDSC02948so I prefer to see these as Christmas smiles…not grimaces of enduranceDSC02949.  Merry Christmas everyone!

  1. Yep not much we can do about the weather. I don't know anyone that enjoys shoveling and digging out cars but when you live in snow country comes with the territory. "No use complaining" as my dear departed Mother-in-law use to say. Stay warm Joe.

    1. Yep but in the summer life hands us lemons we make lemonade! I strongly urge against using yellow snow to make drinks ;)

  2. Great holiday fun! Love those Nutcrackers---used to collect those wooden guys with all the hair (like the trolls, remember?) but have them all boxed away in storage! Today I bake, bake, bake (it's one of my rare days off work!) which will put me in the holiday mood fast!

    1. Thanks Sue. There's been a lull in the baking here at the moment for us. Maybe between you and us we have everything baked and decorated!

  5. We might as well laugh as cry. Winter has come early this year and it has come with a vengeance.

  6. Hi Joe, We didn't get our expected snow the other day, and now it's warming up a little. I like to watch it snow, but I don't like to drive in it. I hope we don't get it when we are driving down to Oregon for Christmas time.
