We visited several places that I don’t remember ever noticing before….it’s just this time we decided to stop instead of going on by. This place was so full of things to see but still the common and often not so obvious things grabbed my eye. Still you can’t just sit forever…there was other things to see. The falls and river were near where the old road through the pass used to run. Eventually we continued on down the road and returned to a beautiful sunset at the cabin we were staying in. There’s not a thing in the world like observing the sun setting behind some mountains! I admit it…there’s one irresistible call that can pull away from views such as this: food cooked over an open fire ! One more look at the setting sun before going in for the night. Only one more set of pictures to go before I close this series. I hope you’ve enjoyed the ride thus far.
I have thoroughly enjoyed your photos and comments Joe. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThank you too Beth, what would they be if nobody bothered to look?

DeleteHi Joe,
ReplyDeleteyour captures are breathtaking.. love love love that water rushing in-between the rock walls.. looks like you and your family have found a beautiful place to relax and just be... I love our state.. "smile"..as one does not have to travel to far to be emerged within the beauty of God's creation..we are truly blessed for sure. and your photos shows that..
so I hear your daughter got her driving permit.. oh my... any new grey hairs ??? giggling...
it threatened to rain here... but was only a threat.. a few little drops here or there.. have had lovely weather.. really am enjoying this time of year.. not to hot nor cold.. just right as Goldie locks would say..
enjoy..
She actually got her full license in the mail yesterday, changing of the seasons...wow. It's been mostly dry and hot here still...most have seemed to stop talking about the heat but it's still pretty strong here with highs in the nineties then the big drop at night...I can feel the instability of fall approaching and it's getting dark sooner. Have a good day my friend.
DeleteJoe this trip of yours always makes me want to head up into the places like you explore. What a beautiful day this must have been. Being a homebody right now and trying to get some work done here at home instead of making any camping trips now. So love seeing everything through your eyes.
ReplyDeleteThe next step down the road...I love being able to see somewhere new. I'm so ready to go further...abroad again...how nice that would be! Like you local things are occupying us at the moment..we only had one trip out this summer.
DeletePeaceful and so much beauty Joe. Your so blessed . Time is going by so fast its nice to see you out again with your family.
ReplyDeleteCherish all you can and as you know they grow so fast.
Blessings to you and your family
These are the days we should especially cherish the good my friend. Peace has never been so hard to come by and the dark waters of the times threaten to overwhelm. Thankfully as ever His grace is sufficient. Bless you too my friend.
DeleteYour pictures are Beautiful Joe, and I am glad you were able to get away with your family. Love those mountains and valleys. Looks like a Photographers Delight. Love your view Joe. It looks so Peaceful. There is nothing like cooking on an open fire in the great outdoors.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to your daughter on getting her license. Wow! Time goes marching on, and sits still for no one.
Well, on to the next post. I am finally doing some catching up on blogs. I haven't been on my computer much lately. Just enjoying time outdoors when I can. It has been busy with work, family and such. :)
Thank you Dianne. It was a very good time but over too soon. It was dry up there but not nearly as bad as it is here right now. Peaceful and beautiful...what a nice combination. My daughter was pleased to get that icon of becoming a young adult. Glad to see you around my friend.
