I have had a fascination with tornados all my life. They seem like visitors from another planet. I have only seen one with my own eyes and it was before I ever had a digital camera and didn't stick around for very long. I have a site that I've been visiting for some time now. They often have some really amazing footage. This was unique because it showed the beginning and end stages of a tornado that touched down recently in Colorado.
I would not like to see one having been through one before.. not ever again,, so darn scary.. we were lucky..others not.. Watching them on
ReplyDeletetv is enough for me!! Take care : )
Cool video Joe. I have never seen a tornado for real, as we just don't have that kind of weather here in WA state.
ReplyDeleteI hear you Gerry, they aren't all that common here in Montana either. Visitors from another dimension. That is a great site for such things. they had a video of massive hail a while back to that was really something.
ReplyDeletei honestly would love to see this but as long as i dont die, you know?
ReplyDeleteYes, I do know but danger is part of the draw for me...what an experience! Seeing it in a field where nobody gets hurt is fine and dandy but seeing it hit occupied areas...no, no thanks.
ReplyDeleteFascinating video. Everytime I see a tornado form and dance in the sky I find I cannot take my eyes off it. The wall clouds at times are very alien and you cannot believe what your seeing. We love watching storms here atop the hollar. Mother Nature's work.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking space! I grew up in Southern Mich., and had many tornado warnings but none touched down near us. Scary! Hey, I'm resurrecting my old Blogspot place: suealehman.blogspot.com. Come check it out!
ReplyDeleteI hope THIS comment comes through---the last one I just wrote didn't! I DO have a blogspot space at suealehman.blogspot.com, so you can find me there too. Stay away from those tornados---they really ARE dangerous!!!
ReplyDeleteI finally made it here!!
ReplyDeleteAmazing footage. I too have also been facinated with tornadoes, ever since 'Wizard of Oz'! LOL!
Alas, there were few of them in NJ and none here in So Cal. Just as well, I guess.
Have a great Sunday
http://andsoitgoesonandon.blogspot.com/ is one I have had for many years now. Guess now is as good a time to use it as any. Hope the link works okay for you. : )
ReplyDeleteMan, I have seen many many a hurricane but only a few tornadoes. I think I mentioned to you that when I see videos on TV I almost always have bad dreams about them.
ReplyDeleteIt's me again! I wish you could have seen me a minute ago doing something mechanical without scouting the neighborhood for a man to do it for me. I THINK I have success.
ReplyDeleteJoe, I have tried several times to post here and I am trying again. Your new blog site looks very nice.
ReplyDeleteI don't like tornadoes, especially when they come close.
